2030 Commitment
Armed with the knowledge that the built environment contributes up to 40% of the world’s emissions, the American Institute of Architects has devised an actionable climate strategy aimed at reaching net zero emissions by 2030. Over a thousand firms, including UrbanWorks, have become AIA 2030 Commitment signatories, utilizing these strategies, and reporting our progress annually through the AIA’s Design Data Exchange. In four years of reporting, UrbanWorks has submitted 35 projects on the 2030 Commitment DDx system, and continues in our industry’s efforts to “create a zero-carbon, resilient, healthy, just, & equitable built environment for everyone.”
