As part of UrbanWorks’ 30th anniversary celebrations, we are featuring 30 projects from over the years that highlight our breadth of experience and passion for the built environment. Trianon Lofts is a four-story, mixed-use building in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood that includes 24 market-rate apartments above a 7,000-square-foot commercial space, aimed at rejuvenating the Cottage Grove Avenue corridor. The design, above the ground-level storefront, is influenced by the area’s traditional masonry structures. Its exterior showcases a subtly varied color pattern, distinct window placements, and integrated canted planter boxes, blending a harmonious facade with a modern touch. Thanks to our client Preservation of Affordable Housing, subconsultants Environmental Design International, C.E. Anderson & Associates, Dynacept Engineering, as well as our photographer Barbara Karant.
